The Team:

You will be part of the Engineering Operations Department of Celonis,  within the Support Operations team, which focuses on facilitating day to day Operations within the Engineering organization, by improving their support service management performance, and is responsible for general incident management,  and escalation processes in Engineering, among others.All this contributes to enable and boost the growth and scalability of a top class Engineering organization, in order to achieve strategic and operational excellence.

The Role:

As a Data Scientist Working Student in the Support Operations team, you will be pivotal in building analytics using the Celonis EMS platform and analyzing the support backlog data in the engineering organization, which spans multiple systems, in order to identify insights.  In this role, you will lean heavily into Data Science and data analytics methodologies, by enabling the development, analysis and visualization of disparate data at speed and simplifying complex data so it can  be easily understood.You will interface closely with the other analytics teams in the organization and gain experience single handedly running and executing detailed analyses.Additionally, you will understand what are the patterns and gaps, identify pain points and propose and implement actions to overcome and improve the pre-existing situations.You will be collaborating with multiple teams located worldwide in their support goals and challenges they face, by using a data driven approach to help improve their performance.

The work you’ll do:

  • Create and maintain predictive models that can draw insights from data
  • Build metrics, visualizations using the Celonis EMS platform.
  • Take ownership of Engineering support analytics and provide reports and dashboard to drive business decisions
  • Collect and explore data from multiple systems and analyze and expand knowledge of data uses.
  • Use creativity to organize data into, data sets, reports and communicate findings.
  • Interpret data to create visualizations that help identify trends or patterns in data
  • Recommend new methods for collecting data that can provide further insights.
  • Work with whole Product and Engineering team to improve Data-driven culture
  • Identifying and taking opportunities to improve our processes

The qualifications you need:

  • Pursuing a degree in Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science or similar with availability of at least 1 year as a working student.
  • Understanding of complex Data science principles and process improvement skills.
  • Strong data visualization skills.
  • Programming skills with the ability to learn new languages.
  • Think analytically, work in a structured manner and quickly comprehend new topics and complex interrelationships to also present and explain them to various stakeholders
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Understanding of Data Visualization methods
  • Strong problem solving, conceptualization, and advanced communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal fluency in English
  • Jira knowledge is a plus
  • Open to challenges and a fast-paced environment
  • IT Service management experience including ITIL process knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Full proficiency in English.
