Doctolib is looking for you for an internship in the Software Engineering department for our office in Berlin. 

Our mission is to drive “efficiency in the practice” by transforming the way our care teams work, organize their daily activities and provide efficient care to patients Doctolib Engineering environment is very rich. We are building innovative products and features aiming each day to ease doctors' and patient life.

We are looking for students to join a team of hard working entrepreneurs, who are passionate about transforming healthcare and play an active role in shaping a fast-growing company from day one!

What you`ll do

As an intern, you will support us in the following areas:

  • Developing innovative solutions: Collaborate with our team to design and build software solutions that streamline tasks and automate processes, enabling care teams to focus more on patient care.
  • Improving user experience: Work on projects aimed at enhancing the usability and functionality of our software applications, helping users maximize their productivity while utilizing our systems.
About our technical environment
  • We are working in Feature team: you will collaborate with your team, engineering leaders, product, and design teams. While keeping in touch with the others Feature with “Tech time”
  • Working in an agile environment (you will enjoy lean startup methodology). 
  • You will be driven by code quality, code testing with the help of your peers for reviews.

  • Our stack is Ruby/React.
  • We deploy 3 times per day - you can deep dive here.

You won’t be the first one not mastering Ruby/React - a lot of our Doctolibers learned once they arrived!

At the end of your internship you will:
  • Learn about full product development lifecycle: Learn how to transform ideas into fully functional products and features, covering all stages from concept to production.
  • Gained experience in Full-stack development: Acquire skills in backend development using Ruby on Rails, frontend development using React, and working with large-scale databases like Postgres.
  • Be able to work with Agile methodologies: Gain hands-on experience with Scrum and Kanban, learning how to effectively collaborate and deliver projects in an Agile environment.

  • You are in your final year of study in Software engineering or related field and available for 6 months.
  • You are native / fluent in English
