Job Description

The International Tax Manager is a key member of Pure Storage’s Tax department. You will be responsible for providing foreign tax compliance and transfer pricing support to assist the business in achieving its goals in a tax-efficient manner. You must be diligent, have strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, along with proven experience effectively collaborating in a fast-paced environment. This position will be based in Dublin, Ireland and will report to the Senior Manager, International Tax based in US headquarter.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and review the preparation and filing of foreign local tax returns, including overseeing estimated tax payments
  • Manage and review transfer pricing studies, transfer pricing documentation and country by country reporting
  • Review intercompany transactions and intercompany agreements to ensure compliance with international tax regulations
  • Review and/or prepare statutory return-to-provision true up and reconcile statutory tax accounts
  • Examine foreign entities’ local statutory financial statements related to current/deferred tax provision
  • Review and prepare UK stock-based compensation computation for tax return
  • Provide support on foreign withholding tax matters, including WHT analysis and documentation
  • Analyze foreign tax credit position, corporate tax strategy, and identify planning opportunities
  • Knowledge and experience with global international tax developments, including Pillar 2, Base Erosion and Profits Shifting (BEPS), Anti-tax Avoidance Directives (ATAD) and other OECD developments
  • Manage and support foreign tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Support Pillar 2 implementation with emphasis on compliance and automation
  • Manage and prepare yearly Tax department budget, monthly accruals, and related admin tasks
  • Build collaborative working relationships with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, HR and service providers
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MST or CPA a plus)
  • At least 8 years of relevant international tax experience in Big 4 and/or multinational corporations in the high-tech industry
  • Experience in transfer pricing for US multinational technology companies
  • Experience in tax accounting for stock-based compensation
  • Advanced Excel required, with experience in NetSuite, Alteryx, or other application a plusExperience with automation and process improvements
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Team oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
