We are looking to hire high-energy, entrepreneurial and value-adding talent to join Blenheim Chalcot, the UK’s most successful venture builder to help grow our network and professionalise our Investor Relations function.

We provide a range of services to help new business get off the ground, including technology, growth (marketing and sales), talent, HR, finance, legal and tax.

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities

The Investor Relations Analyst is a vital role within the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio and this role will be responsible for supporting on IR efforts across BC and our ventures.

The successful Analyst will play a vital role in developing and shaping the Investor Relations function to:

  • Professionalise IR operations, working across BC equity funds incl. sport funds, and debt funds.
  • Grow BC’s network of institutional investors and optimising value derived from its existing relationships.

Specific duties

Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following:

  • Engaging with current and prospective investors as well as other stakeholders within BC and externally e.g. family offices, strategic partners, VC / PEs, advisors
  • Preparing BC teams and portfolio companies for investor meetings, roadshows and other external investor presentations –investor bios, talking points and prior meeting notes
  • Assisting with the production of investor facing materials and populating of virtual data rooms 
  • Develop strong relationships with CEOs and senior leadership in our portfolio companies to support their growth strategy
  • Identify and lead on potential partnership or M&A opportunities for our ventures, e.g. capital raising transactions, bolt-on acquisitions, debt refinancing, exits, IPOs and new venture incubations
  • work in a highly entrepreneurial environment, focusing on execution and ensuring plans come to fruition
  • consistently build strong relationships with stakeholders centrally and in the portfolio companies

 

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 1-2 years experience, ideally in an investment bank, consulting firm or placement agent
  • Experience in developing strong relationships and regularly interacting with investors, such as family offices across multi-geographies
  • Ability to operate at a range of levels – both in terms of big picture strategic thinking, thought leadership and getting into the data and analysis
  • Experience in preparing investor materials, financial modelling and analysis
  • Experience with populating and operating virtual data rooms
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • High level of core competency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Curious and likes to think outside the box
