About the role… 

Hashicorp is evolving our approach to managing the digital workplace, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, employee experience, and delivering value through the applications we use every day. We are forming a new role to address the ongoing growth and process maturity required to help IT and HashiCorp scale as we embark on a Corporate Digital Transformation journey.As the IT Automation Engineer, you will help document and refine how HashiCorp uses IT SaaS technology to help scale the company and align with company principles. Your primary goal will be to develop and maintain a deep understanding of current QA, deployment and SOX processes and identify areas for improvement by conducting in-depth analysis, identifying areas for automation to  increase efficiency.

In this role, you can expect to…

  • Design and implement SOX Control Automation that removes or reduces the manual work required of IT and Control Owners
  • Work across the business to understand where inefficiencies can be corrected with automation
  • Build automation between disparate systems, both internally developed and external tools, to support business efficiency
  • Utilize API integration and code-less tools to build scripted automation from the ground up
  • Extend our existing workflow systems (Jira, GitHub, Flosum, etc) to introduce automation touch points that remove manual deployment tasks
  • Work with the compliance team to design time and need-based automation triggers to ensure compliance-related controls are executed correctly and on schedule
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, workflows, and configurations
  • Develop and publish test plans, procedures, and final test reports
  • Execute automated and manual test cases
  • Manage deployments to production and carry out post deployment verification

You may be a good match for our team if you have…

  • 5+ years of IT experience in a fast-moving, agile environment in a high-growth company.
  • 3+ years of experience with Deployments or Deployment Automation.
  • Experience with critical IT processes such as SOX Compliance, QA, and Testing.
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of 3rd party digital workplace tools.
  • Technical writing, presentation and communication skills and experience
  • An ability to take on initiatives without being prompted to do so.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, goal-oriented, and the ability to effectively manage multiple activities and/or projects concurrently.
  • An ability to handle change, ambiguity, decision-making, and deadlines in a structured fashion.
  • An ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, a strong sense of accountability, and a proven track record of driving results through both direct & indirect influence.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities, including ad-hoc requests.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Passionate about driving automation through technology.

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$157,300—$185,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:$144,200—$169,600 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$131,100—$154,200 USD
