The IT Support Engineer, Hardware Asset Management Opportunity
The IT Support Engineer, Hardware Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of hardware assets. This role includes managing inventory, ensuring timely procurement, tracking asset deployment, and maintaining records of hardware configurations and warranties. The engineer will work closely with IT and procurement teams to optimize asset utilization, support hardware troubleshooting and repairs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
What you’ll be doing
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving Level 1 to Level 3 technical support tickets.
- Oversee inventory and asset management, including receiving, assembling, and maintaining hardware, while ensuring accurate tracking and ongoing oversight of all assets.
- Facilitating the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and seamless integration into the company culture and workflow.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role required.
- Possesses in-depth expertise in both Windows and Mac OS platforms.
- Collaborate closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure alignment on purchasing strategies and budgetary goals.

- Overseeing vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring timely delivery of services and products.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Okta, Jamf, and Intune for effective management and security of user identities, devices, and applications.
- Skilled in providing support to executives and high-profile stakeholders.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $78,000—$116,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as an Full-Time Okta employee!
