We are a growing team looking for a Junior Accountant to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics.  The role is located in our Amsterdam Office.

ABOUT THE ROLE

If you’re passionate about driving and building the finance function to the next level in a series-D funded digital scale-up company. Being a team player with subliminal execution capacity and attention to detail, you view uncertainty as an opportunity to excel and grow with the company. Spun off from Uber Freight, sennder Benelux is a leading entity within sennder Group, a digital logistics scale-up with high ambitions for our future market strategy.

As a junior AR accountant, you will be responsible for driving the AR accounting processes within the local finance team. You will act as an intermediary or POC between the Amsterdam finance team and the AR Poland team. Our team is based in two locations and has a hybrid work structure. Therefore you are self-driven and not afraid to reach out and take the initiative to get things across the finish line.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

• Responsible for the AR Aging Sales/Finance report for the Sales team and support any questions.
• AR receipts application – verify and support in the posting of Journal entries entries. Monitor customer collections and flag collectability issues.
• Participate in the preparation of the month-end closing in accordance with the existing schedule, mainly AR and AR-related activities
• Take charge of the management reporting of AR KPI input and tracking
• Responsible for the calculation and booking of Bad debt Allowance (Prepare Dunning letters on request)
• Participate in the preparation of tax returns (Output VAT)
• Monthly Revenue Testing (audit sampling)
• Support yearend financial audit
• NetSuite enhancements in the AR  and AR-related environment
• Business partner to Sales and complement where there are customer queries
• Maintain AR Customer credit limit, payment terms in NetSuite

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

• You have experience in Account Receivable roles both as a full-time or as an intern
• You are proactive, curious, and eager to solve issues as the POC for AR-related activities
• You are ambitious and eager to learn more in and outside of your scope
• University degree in Finance and Accounting or comparable qualification
• 1-3 years of work experience as an Accountant
• Proficient in English both spoken and written
• Proficient in computer skills in MS Office, notably Excel 
• Good understanding of internal accounting processes and ability to handle stakeholders from multiple backgrounds and seniority levels
• Good communication skills, a proactive approach and strong personal accountability
