Junior Direct Sales Manager - Wallonia
We are looking for an aspirational colleague who is ready to take on a leadership role to grow our direct sales team and customer base in Wallonia. This role will involve building your own team of sales reps (Brand Ambassadors as we call them), and help them successfully attend hundreds of events across Wallonia. After successfully growing Butternut Box for 8 years in the UK, 2 years in the Netherlands and almost 1 year in Flanders, you will be the first hire in Wallonia. You will report and work directly with our Benelux sales manager.
You should expect to be target orientated, with a hunger to exceed your weekly goals and grow into a people management position. Your role will require you to lead from the front, selling in the field on a weekly basis whilst your team grows, prior to you creating a structure of trusted supervisors to allow you to step out of the field after 6-12 months. With that in mind, you should also see yourself as a natural & excellent salesperson, with an eye for identifying other top sellers & how to develop and train them as well.
If you're a dynamic and results-driven leader, we have an opportunity for you to take the reins and be at the helm of a one-of-a-kind success story, and your role will be nothing short of spectacular.
Your first 6 months:
- Learn about Butternut’s story, mission and wider team org structure
- Work with our sales recruiter to hire, onboard and train new brand ambassadors into your team
- Find, contact and book events all across Wallonia, for you and your sales team to successfully attend.
- Form cross department relationships within Butternut (e.g. the events team)
- Start making your own personal sales by regularly attending shows alongside your team (note that these mostly fall on weekends)
- Lead your sales team into sales momentum via training, socials, accountability and strong weekly shift plans
- Learn how we track targets and report on results on a weekly basis, and start to practice these processes yourself
- Form cross department relationships within Butternut (e.g. the events team)
- Spend time in our Amsterdam and Flanders office with our other DS & event managers
About you 👋

- Fantastic interpersonal skills and can adapt to different styles of people
- Can perform under pressure, remains calm and focused and understands their own boundaries
- In a stage of life where you are excited and ready to commit to a big and new opportunity
