For our passionate team, we are looking for a Junior English-French Translator for a maternity leave cover of around 8-9 months. Working in the Editing team, part of the Product Operations Team, you take a leading role in making sure our French-speaking Belgian & Luxembourg customers can cook their weekly meals with clear guidelines on their recipe cards.  

🥑 This is how you’ll make an impact

You are responsible for translating and revising our recipes from English to French. You know how to translate in a concise and detailed way. Spotting typos or spelling mistakes is your second nature. Last but not least, you ensure that our printed and online recipe cards are 100% correct for a seamless customer experience. 

• Translating new recipes from English to French, ensuring that translated content conveys the original meaning and the HelloFresh tone of voice;
• Revising and updating existing recipes from English into French;
• Provide some short creative translations from English to French;

🍉 These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team

• You have at least 1 to 2 years of working experience in the translation field. 
• You are a native French speaker fluent in English. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus, but not essential. 
• Besides translating, you enjoy proofreading, can find the right wording, are detail-oriented, and go the extra mile to provide a quality translation (you never take Google or Deep L for granted). 
• You are a quick learner when it comes to using IT systems. 
• You don’t shy away from a challenge and can perform in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment. 
• Finally, you are capable of working independently, as well as being a positive team player, with the ability to plan and work with tight deadlines. This is a role for 32-40 hours per week for 8-9 months.
