  Team Description

You’ll join SumUp’s People Operations team in Poland, supporting our growing Warsaw office and working closely with the People Ops & Payroll Lead and the local People Partner.

This is an office-first role, placing you at the centre of day-to-day people operations and the employee experience in Poland. You’ll be a visible, trusted point of contact for employees and contractors in the Warsaw office, supporting them through key moments in the employee lifecycle. You’ll receive structured onboarding, close guidance, and hands-on exposure to People Operations and Payroll processes, with increasing responsibility as you grow.

  What You’ll Do
  • Support core People Operations administration for employees and contractors in Poland

  • Prepare and manage employment documentation and lifecycle changes in Workday

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth and welcoming in-office experience

  • Respond to employee queries with care, accuracy, and confidentiality

  Progressively take ownership 
  • Independently manage people administration tasks for Poland (contracts, changes, documentation)

  • Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate and timely people data

  • Coordinate administrative processes for B2B contractors, including invoice handling

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation across People systems

  Office & Culture Support (~20%)
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Warsaw office

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and office partners

  • Support office onboarding, hardware coordination, and internal events

  • Assist with invoice processing and basic budget tracking

  You’ll Be Great for This Role If You

Must-have

  • Are fluent in Polish and English

  • Have some experience or education in HR, People Ops, administration, or a related field

  • Are detail-oriented and care deeply about data accuracy

  • Feel comfortable working with systems and spreadsheets (Google Sheets / Excel)

 

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of Polish labour law

  • Experience using Workday or another HRIS

  • Interest in automation, AI, or improving operational processes
