(Senior) Lead role – Regional management office (Tokyo)  

ABOUT REGIONAL MANAGEMENT OFFICE TEAM:    

 Our Regional Management Office team develops business and executes the strategies and exciting projects with supply management team in a fast-paced environment to ensure that accommodation partners have sustainable, long-term relationships with Agoda. 

 Agoda’s (Senior) Lead – Regional Management Office (RMO), your main objective will be to understand the market and demand from accommodation partners and end customers, design the best business development strategy, and initiate localized programs on Agoda’s platform. Your goal is to contribute to achieving the company’s business objectives through intensive cooperation with the local supply team and Agoda headquarters. You are expected to drive local projects, monitor project performance, draw business intelligence from data, and suggest optimized strategies. 

 In this role, you will bring superior strategic planning skills, solid analytical skills, and bold project management skills to involve stakeholders in headquarters and regional offices to complete the projects. 

 The work is dynamic, and projects are subject to frequent change. Therefore, suitable candidates are flexible, problem solvers, keen to improve the way we work, and excited to learn new things. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Deeply understand the market demand from both accommodation partners and end-customers with a variety of strategic and analytical methods, with a focus on business development strategy planning and forecasting. 
  • Define problems and identify insights to expand business impact, challenges through data analysis, and develop innovative business development strategies and solutions to address them, leveraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Initiate and drive multiple projects simultaneously that involve a variety of stakeholders, from headquarters to account managers. Use structured frameworks to deliver results or design your own frameworks if necessary. 
  • Execute project management to meet initiative requirements, adhere to quality criteria, and ensure timely and successful project launches. 
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks for successful project and product performance. Adjust plans and strategies as needed to ensure sustainable business development. 
  • Continuously track and evaluate project performance against predefined KPIs and milestones, providing regular updates and reports to key stakeholders across markets in Bangkok and the North Asia region. 
  • Support account managers in achieving business goals by setting objectives, designing KPI metrics, tracking performance, optimizing operations, and proposing effective strategies. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. 
  • Strong communication skills in English and Japanese. 
  • Minimum 3 years (5 years for Senior Lead role) of proven experience in business intelligence or project management areas, such as market analysis, performance analysis, business forecasting, product/service development, campaign design, and risk management. 
  • Possess documentation skills to demonstrate reasoning using a structured framework. 
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, including observation, analysis, inference, communication, and problem solving. 
  • Proactive and positive attitude, with a love for exploring new things. 
  • Adaptable to new technologies, quick learner, and energized by change. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Excellent strategic planning skills. 
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries. 
  • Proficient in business-level statistics. 
  • Previous experience with e-commerce platforms, fintech, or the travel industry. 
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to create relationships with internal stakeholders across central and regional offices. 
  • Highly efficient, able to multi-task and work with constant deadlines. 
  • Operations and business process experience and understanding.
