Zuora Inc. seeks a Lead Technical Consultant (Software Developer) acts as a technical and functional expert for the team. This role is responsible for implementing an expert-level understanding of

programming languages to design, develop, test, and deploy Zuora applications and custom software solutions for our clients. S/he will work with end-users and fellow developers, as well as technical and non-technical management teams to mitigate areas of complexity and lead technical solutions discussions.

Specific job duties include:

• Design, develop and implement high-quality code in order to meet project expectations and deadlines.
• Develop and test software programs that are easily maintainable.
• Complete development projects through all lifecycle phases using APEX, Visual Force, and Java.
• Work on several concurrent projects, which may include coding and design, coordinating new software releases, or documenting projects with successful outcomes.
• Work with the Solution Architect, Engagement Manager, and lead other team members to ensure proper delivery of customized implementation that meets client expectations.
• Implement Agile, Waterfall and/or Kanban project methodologies.
• Serve as the Functional Lead for our billing and invoicing business model and provide insights and design development workshops to the team.
• Lead at least one or more Practice Development Initiatives in the Technical COE for ongoing process improvements to ensure high quality and on-time delivery.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Instrumental Engineering, and 5 years of experience as an IT Professional. Experience must include: 

• 5 years experience with at least one of the following gained through work experience or university coursework: APEX, Visual Force, Java, PL/SQL or C#.
• 4 years of experience implementing and customizing solutions for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) software in Software
• as a Service (SAAS) environment.
• 4 years of experience in services oriented environment.
• 4 years of consulting experience involving the customization, development, and integration of software modules that are customized to meet business requirements.
• 1 year experience with billing systems technologies.
