Our customers build trust with their users through improved transparency and control to drastically improve marketing and monetization, while achieving full privacy compliance.We are looking for a motivated and engaged Legal Counsel to support our global Legal team from our office in Lisbon to take our Legal team to new heights.  At Usercentrics, our Legal team plays a pivotal role in enabling scalable, privacy-compliant growth across all departments. In this role, you’ll be the go-to legal partner for our business and commercial teams, working on a wide variety of contracts and legal questions that power our daily operations. Your Tasks

  • Serve as the primary legal point of contact for commercial teams, leading contract negotiations and supporting deal closures for our global - including U.S. - B2B SaaS operations.
  • Draft, review, and manage a variety of agreements including freelancer and event contracts, while providing practical legal guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Oversee legal support processes, including ticket intake and documentation management via tools like Zendesk, Asana and Confluence.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across functions and regions to provide solution-oriented legal advice that aligns with business objectives and mitigates legal risk.
  • Stay on top of critical global legal developments, including regulatory changes and authority decisions, ensuring timely updates to internal practices and legal documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal operations by enhancing templates, knowledge bases, and compliance frameworks.

You Bring

  • A law degree (fully qualified lawyer) in Law, Economics Law, or a comparable field, with 3+ years of in-house legal experience, ideally within a SaaS, Legal Tech, or digital business environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in contract drafting and negotiation, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment within digital technologies, Legal Tech, IT security or similar.
  • Solid understanding of commercial, privacy, and data protection laws, with a strong grasp of EU regulatory frameworks and international legal landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and legal writing skills in English (native or equivalent fluency), with the ability to convey complex legal matters clearly and effectively in a business context.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth, global environment.
  • A proactive, solution-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
