THE WORK:

At Ripple, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Licensing Compliance in Dubai. As a key member of our Regulatory Compliance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring flawless compliance with licensing requirements and the development of new application materials.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Prepare application materials for new licenses, ensuring a cohesive strategy between local and central requirements and controls
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships with legal, finance, information technology, and product teams to achieve maximum harmony in license acquisition and maintenance
  • Lead engagement with regulators (i.e., authorizations teams and supervisory teams) in jurisdictions where Ripple either holds or seeks licenses
  • Assist the Regulatory Compliance team in the performance of gap analysis on changes in regulation and legislation that may impact Ripple's licensed entities
  • Prepare responses to ad hoc queries received from regulators
  • Actively participate in inspections or examination conducted by Ripple's regulators

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • Proven experience in licensing compliance within the financial industry. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience managing financial licenses in the FinTech or banking sector
  • Expert in global regulatory frameworks and requirements relevant to crypto and cross-border payments
  • Proven background of interacting with regulators during both the application process and after receipt of licensure
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
