About the team

The Lifecycle Marketing team meets key goals across growth, engagement, and retention touching all business lines -- AVOD/SVOD (advertising video on-demand / subscription video on-demand), E-commerce, Events, and Games. We have grown the successful Crunchyroll service to over 10 million paying subscribers and over 100 million registered users internationally. We connect with users by tapping into a key set of marketing channels -- email, push notifications, in-app messages, landing pages, and house ads.

In the role of Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing. We are considering applicants for the locations of Los Angeles (Culver City), San Francisco, or Mexico City (Santa Fe).

 

A day in the life of our Lifecycle Marketing Manager:
  • Design and develop global SVOD lifecycle marketing campaigns to improve user engagement, upsells, retention, and re-engagement

  • Leverage internal data by working cross-functionally with product, analytics, and data teams to understand user behavior in depth.

  • Identify Lifecycle areas of opportunity, and execute programs to drive conversions and retention optimization

  • Work directly with marketing partners and external partners to deliver global SVOD Marketing campaigns

  • Manage end-to-end processes for integrated campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messages, and in-product -- including identifying campaign opportunities, developing strategy and messaging, overseeing asset creation, reporting, optimization for ongoing campaigns

  • Develop and oversee a roadmap that prioritizes high impact campaigns for international regions

  • Implement scalable retention marketing programs using AB and multivariate testing strategies and quickly apply learnings.

  • Manage development of assets (email, push notifications, in-app, in-product collateral) through the creative review process, localization, collaborating with designers and copywriters, while following brand guidelines

 

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline (Math, Economics, Statistics), Marketing, or Business

  • You have 8+ years of Lifecycle Marketing experience, retention marketing experience, or in a digital marketing/analytics function that uses email marketing, mobile marketing, and other owned channels.

  • You have experience working cross-functionally with technical and business teams to successfully manage multiple projects

  • You have experience using marketing automation tools or email marketing platforms, preferably Braze EMS to personalize customer journeys (i.e Leanplum, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

  • You have experience using marketing and product analytics tools (Amplitude, Looker)

  • You approach problem-solving and business goals with a data-driven mindset

  • You have experience with project management tools, (JIRA or similar) and the ability to leverage them effectively for streamlined marketing operations and team collaboration

A bonus if you have...

  • HTML email development and Mobile App engagement marketing expertise

  • Paid Media (Remarketing) experience

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
