The Localisation Team

The Localisation team focuses on the management and coordination of localisation projects. They work  to ensure the smooth execution of localisation tasks and the timely delivery of localised content

 

The Localisation Coordinator Opportunity

We are looking for a highly self-motivated, technically skilled team player to help coordinate marketing localisation projects in our digital team. Someone who will play an instrumental role in deploying localised digital programs as one of the enablers to grow and solidify the company’s global market share.As a Localisation Coordinator, you will play a key role in assisting with the coordination and management of localisation projects. You will work closely with Localisation Project Managers and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of localisation tasks and the timely delivery of localised content. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working in a multicultural environment.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Assist in coordinating all aspects of localisation projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignment.
  • Serve as a liaison between different teams involved in the localisation process, including translators, linguists, designers, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.
  • Support the quality assurance process by coordinating reviews, gathering feedback, and ensuring that localised content meets quality standards and requirements.
  • Manage localisation files and assets, including organising, tracking, and delivering files to translators and other team members as needed.
  • Assist in managing relationships with localisation vendors, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and resolving issues or discrepancies.
  • Utilise localisation tools and software to support the localisation process, such as translation management systems (TMS) Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during localisation projects, working collaboratively with team members to find solutions.
  • Provide training and support to team members on localisation processes, tools, and best practices as needed.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Business or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience. 
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with localisation tools and software, such as translation management systems (TMS) and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, is preferred.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
