About the Role

We are looking for a Logistics Analyst who will be the liaison between production facilities, logistics partners, and our last mile fleet team to assure successful outbound and delivery to customers.  Reporting to the Associate Director, Logistics, as part of the Logistics team, you will play a key role in improving on time performance, and troubleshooting any issues as they arise and developing processes for our last mile fleet team.

You will:

  • Collect error reports and weekly data for logistics, and make related process improvement recommendations
  • Develop process for analyzing financial and operational performance of internal last mile fleet hubs across Canada
  • Assist Last Mile teams with developing tools to measure warehouse/driver level performance metrics
  • Support last mile fleet team and provide assistance through proactive planning and modification of delivery plans
  • Develop and maintain fleet resource planning in order to maximize effective use of assets and labour for last mile fleet, as well as continuously looking for opportunities to provide customers more flexibility and options
  • Support operations team throughout the week and provide assistance through modification of outbound logistics plan
  • Provide feedback on strategic planning and forecasting
  • Generate sound logistics initiatives and plans for improvement for various modes of transportation (FTL, LTL, last mile delivery)
  • Participate and support department in logistics initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

  • 3+ years of experience with leading supply chain, transportation, or manufacturing companies
  • Strong interest in logistics and supply chain
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt, problem solve and drive the right results using data
  • Quantitative and analytical experience – must have exceptional MS Excel skills
  • Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: take ownership of work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
  • Extremely organized and have excellent follow up skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated
  • Entrepreneurial with a strong attitude towards getting things done
  • Real passion for food is an asset!!!
