About the Opportunity

Elastic is seeking a Content Strategy leader to manage a team tasked with harmonizing our content creation efforts across our marketing website. This role requires an understanding of Elastic's product marketing strategy and the business challenges that our website can help solve while also applying a content-led perspective to these solutions. This strategic position calls for an experienced professional who will closely collaborate with Product Marketing, Brand, and Elastic leadership to ensure a seamless and impactful content experience for our audiences. As a key leadership role, you will guide and nurture a versatile team of content strategists, driving innovative projects and initiatives that align with Elastic’s vision and goals.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Elastic’s marketing and business objectives.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, SEO, and Brand to drive consistency across Elastic.co’s content landscape
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Brand, and other partners, to build a cohesive content narrative and strategy across Elastic.co and other web properties.
  • Represent the team and its work to senior leadership at Elastic.
  • Lead and mentor a team of content strategists, setting clear goals and managing project flows to meet team standards.
  • Evaluate current content offerings and find opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of content calendars, ensuring content aligns with key business initiatives and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor content performance metrics, using data to optimize future content strategies and improve user engagement.
  • Partner with our Brand team to ensure alignment and consistency in tone, style, and quality across all content outputs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a similar role within a tech marketing environment.
  • 2+ years of content strategy leadership or team management experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • A strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and digital analytics tools to drive content optimization and performance.
  • Experience in project management, with a consistent record of successfully leading multiple projects and streams of work.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate market trends and craft innovative content solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading a remote team in a multifaceted, asynchronous setting.
  • Experience driving content strategy in an enterprise software or SaaS setting.
  • A familiarity with search technologies and generative AI.
  • Experience with personalization tools and strategies to deliver targeted content experiences.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
