Manager, Sales Development - International

Here at Fastly, we have a very talented team of Sales Development Reps in the UK and ANZ , supporting our Account Executive teams to generate sales opportunities, and we’re excited to be hiring a Manager of Sales Development for the region! 

In this role, you will coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, enablement, and revenue operations with the main goal to drive pipeline generation and revenue for the business, as well as helping to mold and foster future AE’s and leaders in our sales org.

What You'll Do:

  • Hire, manage, mentor, coach and train the team of Sales Development Representatives for the EMEA and APAC Markets
  • Collaborate with recruiting to interview and hire hardworking SDRs, and sales enablement to execute onboarding and continuous enablement of SDRs
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SDR processes for outbound prospecting, including individual & team best practices
  • Analyze team and individual metrics to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives to meet all goals
  • Identify ways to increase the quality and quantity of opportunities sent to Account Executives, tracking the handoff process and progress of opportunities through the Salesforce pipeline
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Leaders to ensure strategic SDR support of specific initiatives and the overall growth of revenue and margin expansion
  • Mentor and develop SDRs to achieve their weekly/monthly activity metrics, and improve their opportunity sourcing and close rates. Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure SDRs are achieving targets and developing skills that will prepare them for their next role
  • Learn to coach the value of Fastly products and services to new SDRs and to encourage a full understanding of Fastly technology

What We're Looking For: 

  • 3 years of sales experience as a top performer and minimum of 2 years of sales enablement/training/ management experience
  • Passionate about coaching, mentorship and team management
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to write clear, concise communication for internal and external audiences
  • Mentoring skills - ability to identify strengths and gaps, and develop strategies for continual improvement. Motivated by helping people grow.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and how to coach teams to optimize the use
  • Able to work across the organization with a diverse team
  • Self-starter and hard worker who is at home in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to organize and make sense of significant quantities of lead and data flow

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

  • Background in MEDDPPICC and Command of the Message
  • Power user status of common CRM, sales engagement and intelligence tools

Work Hours:

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours, 9:00am - 6:00pm.
  • This position is required to be in London, in office, three days per week - Tuesday through Thursday.
