About the job

We’re seeking an experienced Outbound Sales Development Manager to lead the NAMER Outbound SDR business. The Sales Development team is a strategic component of our go-to-market strategy, focusing on driving net new logos for the business. SDRs are the forefront of our Segment brand and need to be able to adjust quickly and effectively to stay ahead of the curve. 

 

The right person for this role is a go-getter who wants to develop + identify new pipeline opportunities across the Growth business with experience driving scaled motions across a large account list and a passion for improving customer outcomes. We are looking for someone who is excited and motivated by spending dedicated time coaching their reps and investing in them.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead from the front + motivate a high performing team of 7-9 individuals aligned to the Sales Org
  • Embrace digging into the weeds with reps to align on appropriate account targeting strategies, focusing on the right buyer personas, and coaching reps on their messaging tactics and cold calling skills
  • Drive a pipeline generation cadence that produces high quality, high converting pipeline + closed revenue
  • Optimize and raise team performance by committing to hands-on, in-depth coaching on an individual and team level
  • Actively leverage the SDR tech stack (Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Nav, SFDC, Koala, 6Sense, ZoomInfo, etc.) to optimize SDR workflows / processes and ensure effective tool adoption / usage
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the CDP space to enhance the team’s product understanding and drive more pipeline
  • Identify and address performance gaps by implementing coaching plans, addressing HR issues, and fostering a safe environment for constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Enablement, and Programs to drive alignment and maximize outbound SDR success
  • Hire, onboard, and develop exceptional SDR talent

Required:

  • 2+ years of sales / SDR leadership in high-growth technology companies, excelling in pipeline generation
  • Strong track record of consistently meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Experience executing a pipeline generation motion with a metrics-based approach that measures key activity and pipeline creation
  • Strong understanding of the Martech industry and the role of data in driving business decisions
  • Proficiency with modern sales processes and experience using sales engagement and productivity tools including SFDC, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LI Sales Nav, Koala, and Gong
  • Excellent executive presence and experience influencing buying decisions at all levels, from individual contributors to C-Suite
  • Ability to build territory plans and execute pipeline strategy at scale through data analysis of product adoption, utilization, and consumption trends

Desired:

  • Experience supporting and/or selling SaaS products (CDP or Martech preferred) 
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of forecasting & pipeline management
  • Cross-selling and multi-threading experience in IT, Marketing, Data, Product, Analytics and Engineering
  • Deep understanding of cold calling qualification best practices and crafting personalized messages to high value prospects

 

Location

This role will be remote, based in the United States. Approximately 10% travel is possible.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $118,640.00 - $148,300.00.
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $131,840.00 - $164,800.00.
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
  • This role is eligible to earn commissions. 

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
