Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Training Manager II to join our Chewy Vet Care Learning and Development Delivery team based in Plantation, FL. The position will lead the training team which is responsible for hosting CVC Onboarding training, including our in-clinic care teams and Veterinary Care Representatives (VCRs).  In addition, this position has a responsibility for leading the trainers at the site and making sure they are consistent in delivery as well as providing development opportunities to the team. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The person in this role is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Chewy’s brand and strategy and adhere to our Operating Principles and Chewy Vet Care tenets.

What You'll Do:

  • Coaching Senior Trainers & Trainers on presentation skills.
  • Supporting and coaching the trainers through unknown circumstances.
  • Support when trainers have attendance discrepancies, need to step away from the room.
  • Provide directions for trainers, meeting weekly to coach and provide feedback.
  • Available to support and coach the trainers through Corrective Actions, decisions, unknown circumstances.
  • Overseeing the success of trainees: offering guidance to Senior Trainers & Trainers during the entire learning journey.
  • Facilitate training 50% of the time- teaching material from facilitator guide in an easy-to-understand manner- sets trainees up for success for when they hit the floor.
  • Schedule Senior Trainers to trainings in partnership with business leaders to meet business and learners needs
  • Host coaching conversations in real time.
  • Host corrective actions conversations with trainee’s in partnership with HR and Operations leaders.
  • Partner with Manager and Business partners on content needs and adjustments.
  • Assist in the writing of Performance Evaluations for Senior Trainers.
  • Assist in conducting observation scores and following feedback conversations with Senior Trainers & Trainers, with the goal to have consistency across the delivery experience.
  • Analyze key measures from delivery team (TSAT, Retention Check Scores, Knowledge Check scores) and partner with leader to assess opportunities in experience and correct.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Degree.
  • At least two (2) years' of experience in being a leader.
  • At least 3 years of facilitation experience in past.
  • Strong experience in facilitation.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into action and drive successful outcomes.
  • Well-versed in training, facilitation deliverables.
  • Strong experience in all Microsoft office products and training technology platforms.
  • Ability to be flexible to business needs and adjust/compromise plans as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%

Bonus:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in Vet Practices and/or other high-volume service-oriented industry.
  • Previous experience leading a team of trainers is a plus.
