The Fintech & Loyalty organization builds and manages the foundational systems, financial products, and fraud detection and prevention services that provide customers with a secure, seamless, and rewarding payment experience. Fintech & Loyalty partners with 30+ organizations worldwide to provide a robust selection of gifting, paying, and financing options, to securely process $12B+ in annual transaction volume, and to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide strategic oversight of Wayfair’s global gift card programs.  This means:
    • Tight understanding of the Current State of Wayfair’s GC programs
    • Leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices to define the Future State of Wayfair’s GC programs (e.g. Revenue Penetration, Economic Model, Growth Channels, Pricing)
    • Identifying key gaps between Current and Future State
    • Sequencing initiatives to close the gaps in close collaborations with partners in Tech, Analytics, Marketing, and Accounting
  • Closely monitor business performance, identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Protect Wayfair’s global gift card programs from fraudsters by partnering with Fintech and Loyalty Fraud Tech & Commercial teams, and external fraud vendors 
  • Partner with external partners to drive program growth through marketing and expansion to new distribution channels
  • Manage one Associate.  This means:
    • Providing thoughtful career development opportunities, mentorship and support.
    • Driving alignment on the ideal operating model for Wayfair’s global gift card programs

What You'll Need:

  • 4+ years experience in financial services/payments, preferably in e-commerce, card payments, gift cards
  • A solid understanding of financial services technologies and their intersection with commerce
  • Strong problem solving skills and comfort getting deep into the data; experience building a strategy based on data-driven insights
  • Comfort in drawing conclusions from data and making recommendations based on imperfect information; High proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools preferred
  • Demonstrated experience owning and executing a strategy to drive tangible results across teams in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to leverage data from a multitude of sources to tell a persuasive story, tailor communication style based on the audience, and influence others
  • “Get stuff done” attitude – willingness to roll up your sleeves and engage deeply with analysts and managers, across multiple teams and agendas, to accomplish what needs to be done
