Critical Mass is seeking a dynamic and experienced Media Director (Strategy) to join our team. As a key player in our media group, you will take ownership of managing key brands' media activities, demonstrating a broad set of media, marketing, and management skills. This is an instrumental role in the development of our strategic media solutions and requires building strong relationships with clients, the planning team, and management across all media partners.

You will:

  • Be accountable for marketplace negotiation strategy, activation, and overall implementation of upfront/scatter buys
  • Oversee maintenance of all buys and schedules to ensure goals and client objectives are met, including oversight of brands' budgets
  • Successfully build and manage relationships with clients, serving as the day-to-day contact and addressing questions and issues related to media
  • Work collaboratively with the planning team to ensure media strategy and plans are executable and accurate
  • Manage and develop a team of direct reports
  • Provide short and long-term thinking for the client’s business
  • Participate in agency and/or departmental task forces
  • Assist and provide support, offering media expertise in new business pitches
  • Analyze data for national activation management and strategy teams, staying updated on industry trends
  • Supervise the digital RFP process for FEP partners
  • Confirm all FEP plans are correctly input into planning workbooks and decks
  • Maintain knowledge of digital plan delivery and confirm approvals with clients if mid-flight revisions are needed

 

You have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Digital Media.
  • Ability to analyze and derive insights from data for informed media planning and optimization decisions
  • Familiarity with media measurement tools and analytics platforms
  • Proven ability to establish strong relationships with outside vendors and agency strategy teams
  • A strategic mindset aligning media plans with overall business goals
  • Strong technical skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Media Math, Media Terminology concepts, and applications)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, emerging trends, technologies, and changes in consumer behavior
  • Excellent presentation skills tailored to different audiences for gaining buy-in and support
  • Leadership skills to inspire and lead the team while fostering collaboration on complex projects
