Role: Mid-weight Copywriter

Location: Birmingham City Centre (hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in the office) 

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Copywriter will create engaging, powerful, and impactful copy for digital collateral including web pages, email campaigns, social media assets, presentations, and other digital marketing mediums. Along with offline collateral including DM, instore, out of home and internal comms. Captivating copy plays a key role in ensuring an engaging and memorable customer journey.

The Copywriter will have strong experience writing and adapting copy for traditional digital and print mediums. You will be well versed in interpreting brand TOV guidelines and using to help guide and influence personalised and tailored comms that is specific to the channel that the copy is intended for. You will know what good copy looks like and will be knowledgeable in knowing what makes traffic click. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Craft compelling and original copy for a variety of financial services marketing materials across digital and print channels. 
  • Edit and validate existing marketing copy across the channel mix maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone across all marketing materials. 
  • Generate engaging, customer-focused content that brings complex financial subject matters into a customer- focused, engaging and memorable customer experience. 
  • Translate complex financial concepts into easily digestible and engaging language for a diverse target audience.  
  • Collaborate with the onsite OLIVER team, the client marketing team members and wider stakeholders to understand project objectives, target audiences, and key messages. 
  • Understand and Interpret marketing challenges and communication objectives to help scope solutions with clients as an extension of their team. 
  • Juggle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while adding value to every step of the project journey.  
  • Work closely with the team to deliver copy requirements ensuring consistency and accuracy across all messaging to the agreed briefs and established brand guidelines. 
  • Form close relationships with the wider client marketing team and stakeholders to source product and audience information and unique selling points to help promote our client’s product offerings. 
  • Stay up to date on financial industry trends and regulations to ensure copy is accurate and compliant. 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues.

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • A proven track record of creating high-impact marketing copy within a regulated industry, ideally the financial services industry. 
  • Solid understanding of financial products, services, and target audiences. 
  • Impeccable grammar, editing, and proofreading skills. 
  • Strong creative brainstorming and conceptual thinking abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively within a team. 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage projects to completion. 
  • A passion for regulated services and a commitment to producing high-quality, engaging content. 
  • A record in creating immaculate copy that stands out from the crowd. 
  • Proactive, solution focused self-starter with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. 
  • The ability to work well under pressure and manage workloads and multiple projects effectively. 
  • An excellent team player who is collaborative and adept at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
