OTC Accountant - Order to Cash

About the roleThis role sits at the heart of how SumUp turns sales into revenue. You’ll work closely with Field Sales, Enterprise, and Finance teams to make sure deals are booked correctly, invoices go out on time, and revenue is recognised accurately — especially as we scale new commercial initiatives across Europe.

What you’ll be responsible for-
Own the end-to-end order-to-cash process for Enterprise and Field Sales customers — from order review through invoicing and collections.

Act as a key finance partner for Sales teams, ensuring billing accuracy and alignment.

Manage dunning activities and prepare aging analysis, supporting bad debt and impairment calculations.

Review and approve refunds, credit notes, and reverse charge corrections.

Ensure accuracy and documentation of invoices (including Sidekick invoices).

Work closely with ERP and Finance teams on automation and process improvements to support growth.
You’ll be a strong fit if you:

Have experience in accounting, finance operations, or order-to-cash.

Are confident handling financial data with a high level of accuracy.

Can investigate and resolve accounting or billing discrepancies.

Are comfortable working in Excel and using data to spot issues.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Are proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative by nature.
Nice to have (but not required):

Advanced Excel skills (PowerQuery, macros).

Knowledge of European VAT.

Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Exposure to automation or process optimisation projects.
