OTC Accountant (Order to Cash)

We’re now looking for an O2C Accountant (Order-to-Cash) to join our growing Finance team in Sofia. This is your chance to work in a modern, dynamic, and global environment, using the latest tools and shaping the processes that power SumUp’s global success.
What you’ll do-
Manage and approve sales orders in Salesforce & SumUp Shop — ensuring accurate automated billing and revenue recognition under IFRS.

Handle end-to-end trade receivables: allocations, disputes, credit notes, aging analysis, impairments, and dunning.

Ensure VAT and sales tax compliance across multiple countries, supporting audits and financial reporting.

Perform period-end revenue analysis, investigate variances, and deliver insights to business stakeholders.

Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, automation initiatives, and process improvements.

Work with modern tools like Slack, Notion, Langdock, ChatGPT & Gemini to stay efficient and connected.

2–3 years of accounting experience (preferably AR or Order-to-Cash).

Solid understanding of revenue recognition and billing principles.

Confident in reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation.

Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP is a plus.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and fluent in English (another European language is an advantage).
