Databricks is looking to fill the position of OTC Strategy and Operations Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, OTC Strategy and Operations. As a strategic owner driving innovation and efficiency at scale, you will partner with the Finance team across Revenue Operations, Billing, Credit & Collections, Technical Accounting, Revenue Assurance and FP&A.

Planning, leading and executing on global, cross-functional, enterprise-wide projects that impact the Finance organization should be your passion. The ability to plan and execute effectively while collaborating across teams and locations will be key to success in this role. In this role you will remove friction for the Finance team by optimizing process and technology improvements.

You will develop deep knowledge of financial impacting processes in order to identify and build scalable solutions. You will need to build cross-functional relationships and drive results.

The impact you will have:

  • Partner with Commercialization to drive execution of SaaS promotional offerings and nonstandard GTM initiatives.
  • Design and improve cash application and billing processes in ERP system. 
  • Design and improve reconciliation processes across billing and cloud vendor marketplace platforms.
  • Design and improve processes through analysis of current state, capturing pain points/gaps, developing future state process flows, and executing roadmaps.
  • Drive standardization of Order-To-Cash processes and identify automation opportunities.
  • Build and support reporting to facilitate Order-to-Cash processes and analyses.
  • Manage end-to-end UAT activities by driving cross-functional coordination, maintaining testing assets, documenting results and guiding solutions.
  • Build and maintain project plans to track, analyze and communicate project milestones and statuses.
  • Support automation projects which may include credit management enhancements and automation.
  • Lead all aspects of assigned OTC projects and ensure projects achieve desired goals and benefits, including operational effectiveness, compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Manage program risks and develop mitigation strategies to meet goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate across the organization, including stakeholder teams, Finance Systems, FP&A, BSE, IT, and the Data Team to understand the requirements of your team and ensure the team has the resources it needs to succeed from project scoping to change management.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in Finance or Accounting function
  • Nice to have - Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) experience
  • Strong experience in process design, mapping and optimization
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Experience with data transformation and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power Query and Power BI, Alteryx or Tableau; Experience with SQL and Python a plus
  • Understanding of global Quote-to-Cash processes including order management, billing, collections, cash application, and revenue recognition
  • SaaS industry experience
  • Experience with project management principles and methodologies

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$120,700—$213,600 USD
