We are looking to hire a solution-oriented and innovative Paralegal to join our Policy and Disputes team. The team is responsible for all legal cases brought against Trustpilot, anywhere in the world, and as part of the broader ‘Trust & Safety’ team, contributes to supporting Trustpilot’s mission to become a universal symbol of trust.
As an essential component of the 'Trust & Safety' team at Trustpilot, we are central to the effort of positioning Trustpilot as the universal symbol of trust. Taking on the role of Paralegal within Trustpilot means holding an essential function that carries great possibilities for enacting impactful advancements. We are open to candidates who possess an inventive spirit, have a zest for addressing difficult tasks, and are enthusiastic about actively participating!
This role is based in our London office. Flexible working available, working 2 days a week in our office.
As a Paralegal within our Policy & Disputes team, you'll dive into a diverse range of responsibilities that shape Trustpilot's legal landscape.
What you'll be doing:
- Defended Disputes Management - supporting members of the Policy & Disputes team with initial assessment and set up of new cases, gathering evidence from within the business and liaising with external lawyers in key markets including the UK, US, France, and Germany;
- Handling queries and requests from colleagues and third parties on issues relating to content on the platform, including triaging and allocation of work;
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Policy & Disputes team by maintaining trackers of ongoing cases and keeping our records up to date;
- Reviewing and tracking invoices against our annual budget and extracting and compiling data to support financial forecasts;
- Carrying out general litigation tasks such as creating electronic bundles, writing letters and communicating with courts and external contacts; and
- Protecting Trustpilot’s brand by preparing cease and desist letters to infringers of our Intellectual Property.
Who you are:
- You have experience working in a litigation team, whether in-house or at a law firm. Experience within an in-house legal team is beneficial, but not essential.
- You are motivated and take responsibility for your own work.
- You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, even when deadlines are pressing.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, in writing and in person
- You are always looking for ways to improve things and use your own initiative to propose solutions where you identify problems
- Collaborator with the ability to build relationships and work with stakeholders at all levels across multiple locations
- You speak and write English fluently - it’s our business language within Trustpilot.
