Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The community you will join:

Airbnb is seeking a Partnerships Enablement intern to join the Partnerships & Business Development team for France and Benelux.

The goal of our Partnerships & Business Development team is to build from the ground up partnerships and alliances to support Airbnb’s business and growth. They are responsible for deal making and partners management from A to Z. Starting with sourcing stakeholders who could become partners tomorrow, to implementing the partnerships per se, all the while working to ensure successful, long-lasting relationships with all the stakeholders.

The difference you will make:

You’ll be joining the team at a particularly exciting moment : we’re building our local strategy from the ground up, about to launch a major partnership, and driving an innovative new project. You’ll get 360° exposure to business development, with a strong focus on activation: event execution, stakeholder alignment, and impact tracking. It’s an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact launch, learn what great outcomes look like, and build the foundation to engage future partners with confidence.

You can expect to:

  • Partner with your mentor - Business Development Lead for France and Benelux - to oversee activation plans for ongoing partnerships
  • Contribute to event coordination: this involves planning, stakeholder management (both internally and externally), D-day activation, and last but not least, after-action review to guarantee solid measurement practices, feedback collection  and suggest improvements
  • Participate in mapping out potential new partners in the region: you will turn into an investigator to seed out ideas for new partnerships to develop our business

The intern experience:

As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a team where you’ll contribute to challenging projects. Your manager, team, and our incredible employee community will strive to be superhosts to you during your internship. We provide the support, mentorship, fun, and real world experience needed to accelerate your learning and make a real impact on our product, as Airbnb revolutionizes connection, belonging, and travel.

Your expertise:

We welcome any candidate who is passionate about building long-lasting and effective partnerships! You are probably the right person for this role if you tick the following boxes:

  • You are in your final year of getting a Master’s degree
  • No preference for the area of study, but you have to be data- and tech-savvy
  • Ideally, you have previous experience in working in some partnership capacity. You were/are part of the student committee and stroke deals with the local partners for the benefits of your fellow students? We want to hear from you!
  • You speak both French and English very fluently (you don’t have to be a native speaker, but you need to be comfortable with both languages)
  • Based in Paris (this position requires in-person office presence, but our Paris office is absolutely gorgeous)

Desired Skills

  • Strong communication skills - Good knowledge of French market preferred
  • Skilled user of Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive high-quality analysis from data.
  • Ability to work proactively and results-driven: always trying to learn that extra detail that can help make the most accurate decisions
  • Experience with an internet marketplace business or within the travel industry is a plus
  • Curiosity is your driver, you are an avid learner and default to connecting with people to hear their story.
  • You are an authentic “people person” with the ability to connect the right people together. You default to thinking strategic and long-term rewards rather than only tactical, short-term success
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
