YOUR MISSION

Glovo is looking for a world-class People Care Team Lead to join the People (HR) team in our Headquarters in Barcelona. Do you have a mindset of disciplined execution that takes the best out of people around you and inspires them to give their best? Are you an organization freak very familiar with tools, processes and automation?   As the People Care Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading a highly motivated and performing team to deliver excellence to our associates and employees, providing high standards of payroll delivery, aiming for optimization, accuracy, and flawless execution.

THE JOURNEY

  • Manage the Global HR Operations team, which consists of 8-10 direct reports and provides support to employees across 25 countries
  • Drive productivity and efficiency in the People Operations Team through managing the right KPIs
  • Drive team engagement and accountability to ensure best service to our clients. Lead and inspire the team by training, mentoring and coaching them as necessary to support their career growth
  • Ensure appropriate workload allocation, sharing of knowledge, review performance and instill a culture of continuous improvement and outstanding customer service. 
  • Maintain updated and accurate SOP and handbooks and ensure their alignment with stakeholders
  • Develop strong relationships with main stakeholders (payroll, tax, mobility, people partners, etc.)
  • In collaboration with leadership, identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize service through automation or process improvement
  • Support Master Data accuracy by keeping late data at bay, implementing metrics to analyze People Operations health and accuracy, supporting audits & forensics as required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR Operations/ Shared Services environment
  • Minimum 2 years of leader / people management experience (position with approx. 10 direct reports - junior team). Previous experience leading and motivating a high-performing HR team that always delivers their KPIs
  • A taste for processes and HR technologies (Workday specially), while enjoying ambiguity and change and suggesting innovative and non-conventional solutions. Ability to lead Process management and continuous improvement activities with a focus on optimization and productivity
  • Experience with Jira ticketing system or similar
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation and analytical skills
  • Professional English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills. The following languages are a plus: Italian, Romanian, Polish or French
  • Customer orientation: excellent communication, organization skills and attention to detail
  • Teamwork, leadership, project management skills and a collaborative style with the ability to influence others into action and to think creatively about solutions
