PHOTO/VIDEO EDITOR

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Photo/Video Editor to join our creative team. You will be responsible for editing and enhancing both photos and videos to create visually compelling content that meets our company's standards and objectives. This role requires proficiency in retouching photos, exporting videos, and creating cut downs for various platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Edit and retouch photos to enhance colors, lighting, composition, and overall visual appeal.
  • Edit videos, including trimming, cutting, and arranging footage to create engaging narratives and stories. Export videos in various formats and resolutions optimized for different platforms and devices.
  • Collaborate closely with photographers, cinematographers, and other team members to ensure consistency and quality in visual content.
  • Follow brand guidelines and creative briefs to maintain the company's visual identity and style across all projects.
  • Organize and maintain a library of assets, including photos, videos, and graphics, for easy access and retrieval.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and best practices in photo/video editing techniques.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4+ years of professional experience in photography, film production, and/or visual arts.
  • Experience with photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Capture One) and with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in creative roles with autonomy and wide scope of responsibilities.
  • Experience with copyright laws and licensing requirements for using third-party assets in creative projects.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or 3D modeling software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with file compression techniques and video optimization for online streaming platforms.
  • Experience as a photo/video editor or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creativity.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Capture One.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Solid understanding of color correction, retouching, and compositing techniques for both photos and videos.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in visual style and quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and feedback.
  • Imagination and originality in photo/video editing.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Please provide examples of prior work with your application.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends to support launch operations and critical project timelines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:          

Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year

Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.   • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
