SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

The Growth Product Manager will develop the strategy and business plan to optimize Pure’s product and solutions offerings for velocity and growth in commercial and SLED markets. This begins with understanding what it takes to win, both on the product strategy and go to market fronts. You will be able to see market trends, anticipate customer’s technology needs, deeply understand your competition’s technical and business strategies, create go-to-market business plans that encompass all potential commercial routes to market (direct sales, channel sales, technology solutions, OEM, etc) and drive the successful execution of these plans across the organization.

  • Drive a cross functional team across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and Operations to achieve business OKRs.
  • Gather customer and reseller partner insights and feedback, and infuse the learning back into the organization and product area roadmap, ensuring effective product launches and differentiated features.
  • Document product requirements in PRD and MRD and collaborate with inbound product managers to build capabilities optimized for Commercial/SLED Market
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing functions to deliver solutions for the customer. 
  • In partnership with the cLOB Field Business Development team, provide direct and channel sales with the tools and insights required for success, and to drive last mile execution on new product and solutions offerings.
  • Document solution requirements in PRD and MRD and collaborate with the “Pure Qualified” Solutions team or large National Channel Partners to build solution qualifications for focus use cases.
  • Identify opportunities to create product and solutions bundles
  • Define and achieve business OKRs including top line growth, market share, competitive win rates, offering pricing and contribution margin
  • Engage in regular reviews with cross-functional leadership (PBG, SV&A)
  • Be responsible for all Go-to-Market coordination and successful execution of plan.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 5+ years of experience in outbound product management or related technical/product roles (10+ for the leaders of each growth area)
  • Experience operating in a hyper-growth/entrepreneurial environment, scaling new and emerging products from the ground-up, and translating commercial business models/needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience working in an enterprise technology setting, with expertise in Infrastructure software/SaaS, and understanding of the data storage/management market as well as competitive dynamics/customer adoption behavior.
  • Experience operating in a global role or on a global scale.
  • Excellent narrative and storytelling skills that propel usage, adoption, and market momentum.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic experience leveraging LLMs like ChatGPT to help synthesize market needs is a plus.
  • You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

The annual base salary range is: $185,000– $277,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
