Our product operates in the world of nano-seconds and therefore performance is a big focus. We are looking for a seasoned software architect who can provide coherent technical leadership for the performance area and support our future business scale

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL...

  • Design, plan and implement short and long term roadmap for FlashArray performance benchmarking suite
  • Provide long term vision towards utilizing benchmarks and live performance data for product and business decision making
  • Align with rest of organization area leads on the technical vision and solutions reusability
  • Drive performance area technical excellence and best practices 
  • Be an advocate for internal and external customers

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Our new principal software engineer must be able to quickly understand the existing implementation and adapt the solutions to reflect the current codebase
  • They should be aware of modern DevOps practices with first hand experience in large organization
  • They should be a great communicator and exemplary leader so that the best-practices are spread and adopted among the feature teams
  • On a daily basis combine duties of software architect and product owner
  • Ability to bring together performance data collection with statistical analysis, mathematical models and machine learning is a plus

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience designing and implementing software at scale
  • Track of record in large scale low latency systems benchmarking and optimization

You will be based in Prague, Czech Republic. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
