This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE
You'll be the linchpin that enables Pure Storage's products and services within our configuration and quoting platform, driving our go-to-market success. You'll act as a strategic consultant, partnering with Product Management, Manufacturing Operations, and Sales to translate business needs into scalable, end-to-end solutions. This role is your chance to showcase strategic leadership and detail-oriented problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the Product Configuration Lifecycle: Lead the creation, maintenance, and strategic evolution of all Marketing SKUs and Bills of Material (BOMs) from initial New Product Introduction (NPI) through End-of-Life (EOL), ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity across all systems.
- Drive Sales Enablement: Configure complex SKUs and their respective hardware/software BOMs in the CPQ platform, optimizing for various manufacturing strategies (CTO, PTO, etc.) to ensure our sales force and partners can accurately and efficiently quote products.
- Serve as a Strategic Cross-Functional Consultant: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all SKU-related inquiries, facilitating communication and collaboration with IT, Sales, and Operations to design solutions that align with the Agile SDLC and Pure's business processes.
- Manage System Integration and Quality: Oversee the data migration of SKUs from Agile to ERP and SFDC environments, including setting sales prices, rigorously testing configurations, and troubleshooting/debugging blockers to maintain data quality and system stability.
- Optimize Operational Efficiency: Proactively collaborate with Business Intelligence (BI) teams to identify and implement system improvements and automation that enhance the efficiency and quality of standard product data management processes.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Deep Quote-to-Invoice Expertise: A solid understanding of the entire Q2I process, including configuration rules, sales orders, and pricing models, with a focus on product structures and sales channel implications.
- CPQ/ERP Configuration Mastery: Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, or a similar CPQ/ERP system for BOM management, NPI releases, and configuring complex product structures.
- Agile Product Management Skills: Practical work experience in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), understanding how to own, groom, and manage the testing and release of product configurations as part of a development sprint cycle.
- Strategic & Collaborative Leadership: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the proven ability to influence and drive results across all levels of the organization (Staff to VP), acting as an effective leader for cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving and Velocity: A demonstrated ability to be successful in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, independently setting priorities, driving outcomes, and dynamically adapting to Time-To-Market sensitivity and shifting business needs.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
