Product Manager - Screening

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Screening team in the Fincrime squad, in Tallinn, Estonia. You would own projects that impact suspensions backlogs, case resolution tooling and false positive reduction, whilst working closely with our Compliance teams around the world. This role is a unique opportunity to balance good customer experience whilst de-risking the Sanctions Program at Wise. With Sanctions packages more prevalent than ever before, this is a very exciting time to join the team.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to Wise:

  • The role of the Screening team is to ensure that clean money movements are still instant, and suspicious money movements are dealt with appropriately. The team has the opportunity to balance customer experience with global regulatory requirements in an unprecedented macro environment. You’ll be doing this at a recently public company aiming for money without borders.
  • You’ll be working closely with engineers, operations teams, compliance and analytics to design a world-class screening engine and case management system. 
  • You’ll report into the Senior Product Manager for screening, whose role is to help you find your own path to having a big impact on the Wise mission.

A bit about you:

  • You’re a strong communicator 
  • You have a proven track record of owning projects from start to finish
  • You’ve worked with engineers and operational teams to add impact to your domain
  • You’re a self-starter who’s motivated to dig into a problem space and come up with the best solutions for our customers and our regulators

Skills and experience:

  • 2-5 years as a Product Manager
  • Proven track record of delivering small-to-medium features/improvements without support
  • Clear and concise communicator - working with multiple stakeholders across the globe, career trajectory includes speaking with regulators
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • FinCrime experience is a plus 

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Support, and later lead, quarterly plannings
  • Help with OKR and goal setting
  • Build relationships across the business and across all lines of defense 
  • Own small to medium projects, for example - list management with 2LOD, or data mapping integrations, domestic screening removal
  • Think strategically about the future of screening and acts proactively
  • Support in assessing audit findings
