Product Manager, Core ML

Role Description

This role supports the product engineering teams responsible for delivering AI-powered experiences within our Core business. You’ll help execute the vision and strategy to help improve experiences across a user’s journey with Dropbox, including around navigation, retrieval, organization, and content workflows across Dropbox surfaces. You’ll be a subject matter expert on bringing ML to help deliver the greatest value for our customers, in a way that upholds our values of trust and transparency. 

This role works with a world class team of product engineers, machine learning engineers, designers, researchers and analysts to build modern experiences, powered by ML, to help users do more with Dropbox. 

Responsibilities
  • Work with product engineering teams to deliver AI powered experiences across the Core business and content lifecycle
  • Interface with ML teams to represent customer needs and understand/apply models to in-product user experiences 
  • Oversee A/B tests to validate planned solutions and deliver customer value
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners, including UXR, design, data science, legal and privacy 
Requirements
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally AI/ML technologies and platforms
  • User-driven approach embodied in past work that meaningfully translate customer problems into solutions that leverage intelligence
  • Strong influence and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to create clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
  • Experience running A/B tests at scale and translating results into product opportunities
  • Nice to have: background in ML-centered design, experience working with platform teams, and/or statistics/analytics background.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in document workflows or other company productivity tools
  • Shipped and scaled AI/ML powered products or features
  • Strong data/analytics background

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

If you are assessed at the IC3 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $180,200 - $212,000 - $243,800.• US Zone 2: $162,200 - $190,800 - $219,400.• US Zone 3: $144,200 - $169,600 - $195,000. If you are assessed at the IC4 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $199,800 - $235,000 - $270,300.• US Zone 2: $179,800 - $211,500 - $243,200.• US Zone 3: $159,800 - $188,000 - $216,200. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
