As the Identity Compliance Product Manager, you will report to the Leader of Okta on Okta Product and be a key team member that will build and execute a vision of what a world-class, comprehensive Enterprise Identity service should be, to empower and harden Okta’s business. Utilizing Okta’s own Workforce Identity capabilities, you will support your colleagues and business stakeholders through complex, high-impact identity security projects that utilize industry leading identity and security concepts, models, and practices. Responsibilities
Be the primary interface between internal security and compliance functions and Okta on Okta to ensure roadmap alignment across all Enterprise IAM initiatives and ensure compliance best practices are followed across the Okta on Okta team as we implement Okta capabilities. You will guide Okta on Okta toward making Okta the most secure company in the world, constantly finding opportunities for improvement and evaluating best practices as it relates to Identity compliance. Ultimately, with the goal that our implementation be the reference implementation of Okta technology.
Support Okta’s implementation of the Okta Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) platform for our own enterprise workforce identity use cases; driving technical and process improvements ensuring that our implementation is the most secure reference implementation of Okta technology and aligns with internal and external compliance standards.
- Act as the liaison between Business Technology Security and Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams and Okta on Okta to ensure alignment on our roadmaps, strategy, and capacity.
- Balance Okta on Okta priorities to ensure we meet security and compliance standards while deploying new features and enhancing existing capabilities.
- Guide business customers through the entire project lifecycle; conduit between the business and technical delivery teams
- Own, write and review requirements with business partners, product analysts and engineers across Okta; negotiate detailed requirements and solution design trade-offs
- Define and implement best practice identity business processes, dashboards, use cases and documentation to ensure a robust and durable program
- Lead the writing of user stories and acceptance criteria
- Lead testing and quality control and assurance activities across departments
- Create and maintain technical documentation for the team to reference and share with our internal customers
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in technical, business, and/or IT roles with focus on Identity and Access Management
- 2+ years’ experience working closely with common security and compliance frameworks
- 2+ years’ experience managing a product or service within a technology organization or leading development projects
- Proven track record of developing and executing on enterprise identity solutions
- Advanced knowledge of general industry IAM concepts and best practices, particularly relating to customer identity
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST/FedRamp, SOX, SOC, ISO, SOC2, PCI, ZeroTrust, SaaS Security Framework, Data Security Foundations, etc.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences
- Experience managing numerous, competing demands from stakeholders while maintaining excellent and on time delivery
- Exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills in a complex, matrix environment and demonstrates the ability to broker agreements among diverse, differing, or completing priorities and perspectives
- Confidence working within agile methodologies
- Okta Workforce, Okta Customer, and/or CIDPro certifications strongly preferred

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$158,000—$221,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $175,000—$245,000 USDWhat you can look forward to as an Okta employee!
