Role Description:

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the future of the core Cloud9 Trader product within the Markets Voice and Video segment of Symphony. This role will develop new products and features which improve the user experience, increase user engagement, and fulfil the requests of new customer segments. From concept, to definition, to development, to release, you will turn innovative ideas into real consumer services. To succeed at this role, we expect you to rely on your own knowledge of telephony systems and features, the experience of Symphony's subject matter experts, and most importantly, the requirements of our global customer base. You must possess a blend of technical acumen and business sensibility.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a primary point of contact for customers. You must be able to gather, document, and analyze their requirements, and provide feedback on their requirements. You must be practiced at collecting customer feedback and buy-in/approval on new feature developments.
  • Be able to quickly synthesize new information and ideas with your existing knowledge and knowledge of the product
  • Work closely with internal teams to define and champion customer priorities.
  • Partner with a technical lead and an innovative engineering team, including understanding and balancing technical risk with product feature development.
  • Build go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales teams by helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer base.
  • Produce documentation and collateral with the technical writing, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Manage the entire product life cycle including designing product UI and UX (in concert with a UI and UX team), writing product specifications (PRDs), writing user stories, partnering with a development team to realize product features, reviewing QA test cases, and bringing the feature to general availability.
  • Develop quarterly roadmaps, including obtaining buy-in from technical leads and the head of product for markets voice and video
  • Conduct market research and track KPIs to identify requirements for current and future products.
  • Provide supporting documentation and training on features and products to marketing, sales, customer services and other teams as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • The ability to distil complex ideas and technologies into simple to understandable concepts
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to self-prioritize and reprioritize
  • Ability to write high quality user stories and product specifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience
  • 3+ years of product management, enterprise client support, or similar role with a telephony product
  • Experience with agile product methodology
  • Specific experience in financial telephony or in the capital markets financial industry is a plus
