About the job

This position is needed to lead the development and launch of Twilio’s new Consumer Innovation Product, focusing on expanding Twilio’s platform to simplify the management of business communications for both businesses and consumers, with an emphasis on consumer behavior. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies grounded in psychological research and consumer behavior analysis. This role demands expertise in scaling consumer products to millions or billions of users by leveraging insights into human behavior and psychology.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies using insights from surveys you have built, and other psychological research.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering, to integrate consumer insights into product development and user experience.
  • Create compelling marketing materials and campaigns that resonate with target audiences based on behavioral insights.
  • Conduct psychological and behavioral research to understand consumer motivations, preferences, and pain points.
  • Design and implement surveys, experiments, and other research methodologies to gather data on consumer behavior.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in consumer psychology and behavioral science, applying relevant findings to Twilio’s marketing efforts.
  • Present research findings and marketing strategies to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in across the organization.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on scaling consumer products to large audiences.
  • Proven track record of using behavioral science and psychology to drive marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of consumer psychology and behavior, with the ability to translate insights into impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field.

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Marketing, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in the communications or AdTech industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to communications and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Location

This role will be based in [City, Country] or remote.

Approximately 20% travel is anticipated.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $123,520 - $154,400.
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $130,720- $163,400.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $145,280 - $181,600.
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
