At commercetools, we are:

Engaged: We didn't become the fastest growing, highest ever valued SaaS software company in digital commerce with nearly 100% year-over-year growth by sitting on the sidelines.

Inspired: We continually explore what's possible. As the founder of the headless commerce concept, the leader in true composable commerce, and the visionaries behind MACHยฎ โ€” our patented tech has radically disrupted the world of enterprise ecommerce software. And we are just getting started!

Valued: Intelligent, resilient, passionate individuals hailing from over 50 countries across the globe, speaking over 43 languages, and collectively embracing diversity, encouraging inclusion, and fostering a culture of care.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an organized Product Operations Specialist (m/f/x).

You will play a key role in the design, selection, integration, implementation, and utilization of our Product Management toolkit.  As commercetools, we're building products that truly help our customers. And we apply the same principles for internal 'products' - tools and processes to solve challenges the PM and UX team have, as well as improving how the entire Product Development function operates with the broader business.

You will work with our Product Development team to help them use our tools and processes better.  You will also support cross-portfolio collaboration and help us identify, gain access to, and use information to impactfully inform Product decision making.  You will contribute to the ongoing development and documentation of Product processes and effective toolkit usage, ensuring that we comply with our documented standards.   We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced tech environment and who wants to create an impact in their work.

Your Mission:

  • Be the point person on product tooling and serve as a subject matter expert on the product and operations workflow, including product tooling vendor relationships
  • Facilitate and encourage best practices for the tools
  • Audit existing product process documentation and compliance
  • Onboard and train team members on product tools
  • Enhance the effectiveness and impact of our Product practices and tools throughout the organization
  • Act as the admin for our product tools
  • Streamline process and tasks
  • Document and curate templates, guidelines, how-to references, and resources to maximize the efficiency of our product processes
  • Participate with the product team to ideate and implement continuous improvements to our product practice
  • Improve our operational visibility and decision-making
  • Produce regular reports on key product metrics
  • Identify, integrate, and surface data from other commercetools systems or processes that could meaningfully improve product decision-making

What you need to succeed:

  • Product Management and/or Product Operations experience
  • A keen eye for identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Experience in SaaS Product Management practice including all elements of the product lifecycle, tools, and commonly used processes
  • Ability to construct rule-based technical integrations
  • Ability to quickly establish trust and effective working relationships with different stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira, Slack, Confluence, Salesforce, and a leading Product Management tool such as Aha!, Productboard, or Dragonboat
  • Presentation and documentation-based teaching skills

Nice to have:

  • German language skills (and/or other European language fluency)
  • Experience with Fullstory
  • Experience working with analytics and ability to draw meaningful insights from quantitative analysis and user feedback and translate them into executable initiatives
  • End-to-end product experience in the ideation, creation, launch, and post-launch management of a Product initiative.
