Programme Manager - Grocery, HOP and Retail 

You will sit within the Global Grocery Strategy & Analytics team, whose remit is to solve some of Deliveroo's most intriguing and demanding challenges.The team reports into the VP of Global Grocery and Retail and focuses on providing a seamless shopping experience for our customers across the world. This role will report into the Head of Programme Management. We work closely with stakeholders in HOP, Deliveroo's superfast supermarket, which operates in the UK, Italy, France, UAE, and Hong Kong. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and help shape the future of Deliveroo's Grocery and Retail division.

The Role

The Programme Manager will manage a variety of strategic projects end-to-end. You will work closely with Global Grocery and Retail leads to roll out new product offerings and important initiatives to strategic partners. This could include facilitating the rollout of our Retail proposition to new markets, the adoption of new grocery technologies in thousands of our partner sites or implementing improvements to the way we pick, pack and ship orders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, Product and Legal to lead initiatives forward. You will need to be comfortable working at pace, communicating with senior team members and managing projects in different stages of their life-cycle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan and manage the delivery of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market plans for new markets and product offerings.
  • Surface issues, dependencies and potential timeline risks to senior team members (e.g. tech delays, contracting issues with a potential new partner etc.)
  • Improve our processes to ensure we learn from every launch and get faster and more streamlined every time
  • Manage projects, prioritising across competing issues (e.g. launching a new market, operationalising a new site selection framework)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to work within a matrix organisation
  • Able to spot trends in data and run analysis to highlight challenges and build solutions
  • Note: this role will be hybrid out of the London office and will require at least 3 days per week in the office
