YOUR MISSION:

The way we manage our company is built on the belief that by giving a WOW service to our clients, we will be able to change the delivery market. How are we doing it? By paying attention to all the details. Glovo is a hyperlocal marketplace featuring the trendiest places in each city & delivering their products in less than 60 mins.

This role is for the leader of Glovo’s Q-Commerce (quick commerce) business unit, which focuses on working with Supermarkets, Pharmacies, Shops (e.g., electronics, beauty, flowers, toys, video games, etc.). As a Q-Comm Manager (Quick-Commerce Manager) in Bulgaria you will have the unique opportunity to build and scale our business in the market with the biggest potential in our portfolio.

We're looking for someone who has a mix of the:

  • Negotiation and collaboration skills needed to bring out the best from our partners
  • Strategic, innovative and creative thinking that's required to develop outside the box solutions
  • Management skills and emotional intelligence required to lead and inspire a team 

We are currently building a strong local team in order to re-invent how consumers buy retail, making it more convenient and easy than ever before.

 

THE JOURNEY:

  • Devise the long-term Q-Commerce strategy for the country
  • Oversee directly multiple areas of responsibility: sales, partnerships, operations, etc.
  • Analyze business / financial data to take key decisions for Q-Commerce in the country
  • Have full Q-Commerce (Groceries, Retail, MFC, etc.) P&L responsibility and own business objectives
  • Lead a team of 5-10 individuals
  • Hire top talent, help them perform, grow and develop as professionals
  • Drive, structure, analyze and channel daily work and information - setting goals, delegating, and supervising the team’s performance
  • Guide the commercial team in order to achieve the sales and account management targets
  • Work with a cross-functional team (marketing, operations, finance) to achieve quick & quality execution
  • Get into details, deep-dive and problem solve. You will make things happen together with your team
  • Lead project implementation and translate it into actionable tasks to ensure continuous improvement
  • Be the owner of our disruptive Micro Fulfillment Center business, delivering commercial, operations, and compliance goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in top grocers, retailers, CPG and so on
  • Give visibility to main stakeholders of status and follow up on next steps
  • Collaborate with colleagues to learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE:

Background 

  • 4yr+ of relevant experience in managing high-performing commercial teams
  • Experience owning P&L for a full business unit is a plus
  • Previous experience in fast-paced environments (startups, top internet firms) is a plus
  • Bachelor in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management or Public Relations is a plus
  • Experience in FMCG, Retail or on-demand delivery industry is a plus

Leadership, Business Acumen and Collaboration 

  • Business acumen: proven track record of understanding and empathizing with partners' business models, challenges, & objectives in order to create join strategies & deliver value through collaboration
  • Partner collaboration: Proven experience of at least 3 years in working with external partners to align on strategic initiatives, foster mutual growth, & ensure seamless collaboration on account-related matters
  • Experience in / solid understanding of retail business, as well as revenue dynamics and drivers

Skills

  • Problem solving skills with strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Data-driven mentality / takes decision based on data and makes business judgment when necessary
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation skills: Know how to negotiate /build your way into a super deal with big players in the market
  • Project management skills, highly organized and detail-oriented approach
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, Excel
  • Excellent written and spoken Bulgarian & English skills
