Role and Responsibilities:

As a Quality Inspector, you will work hands-on in our Lilium eAircraft production organization environment. Reporting to the Team Leader Quality Inspection, you will be responsible to carry out operational product conformity inspections as well oversee and attest / confirm elements of aircraft conformity ( as build-as planned-as designed ) during manufacturing in accordance with company internal Processes and given ones by the Regulatory Agencies (EASA, FAA etc) to obtain and maintain the company approvals and certifications (EASA Part 21.G, FAA 14CFR Part 21.G, EN9100).

 

Your Day to Day:
  • Liaise with different areas of the production line and internal quality teams to integrate and carry out the inspection needs within the Lilium Production System.
  • Take care on required attestation activities on time and quality to meet product conformity, quality and safety. 
  • Execute and support pre/post flight checks on A/C in GND/Flight Test. 
  • Manage quality and inspection escapes by non-conformity reports and concessions. 
  • Analyse and interact with other quality teams on corrective/preventive action plans. 
  • Coordinate day-to-day communication and need with our production teams. 
  • Execute and control the inspection planning, methods, and technologies in accordance with the control plan in all matters; feedback on required control plan corrections/improvements to the responsible function.
  • Support definition and control of part product inspection characteristics and conduct periodic quality reviews. 
  • Support and mentor your and other team members in topics concerning Quality and Aviation Regulations for Production. 
  • Contribute to the development and integration of our Inspection management strategy and PMS documentation.
  • Conduct to internal and external audits in accordance with EASA Part 21 Annex I and 14CFR Part 21 regulations, and EN9100 standard for Production Organisation’s.
Preferred Skills:
  • Technical job education or equivalent.
  • Min3 years of experience in a Quality inspection role; preferred under EASA regulation.
  • Good understanding of general Aircraft System design and architecture
  • Technical experience and knowledge on EWIS, Avionics, and mechanics is expected.
  • Experience in handling High Voltage systems / components is beneficial
  • Familiar with EWIS & Avionics inspection methods.
  • Experience with Non-Conformity Reports and Concession processes desired.
  • Good understanding of Aviation Regulations, Safety Management and Quality control
  • Able to use calibrated inspection equipment to validate product characteristics.
  • Strong motivation to help build and shape the organization, structures and processes .
  • Can work independently as well in an integrated team, self-motivated and quality focused.
  • Effective and people valuing communication skills.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, German language skills would be beneficial 
  • Willingness to shift work
