THE WORK:

We are looking for a collaborative individual to join our growing finance team at Ripple. The Regional Controller, APAC will support critical initiatives to facilitate the expansion of the company’s financial infrastructure.

Reporting to the International Controller, the candidate must be a driven, high-energy, customer service-focused individual who can work well with external partners at all levels. They will be encouraged to problem-solve, recommend solutions, and exercise good business judgment while performing their function.

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organized, thorough, and able to frequently assess and reorder priorities. You also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and are able to learn new concepts quickly. Additionally, you should have a genuine interest in emerging payment technology and the blockchain industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead an accounting team, driving the implementation of all accounting processes and activities throughout the organization to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local international accounting guidelines and internal policies while navigating external audits.
  • Ensure compliance for annual GAAP and audits, leading all aspects of the compliance-related filings for subsidiaries and upholding regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate and cross-functionally with other departments on products and initiatives, delving into the financial ramifications to identify and mitigate accounting challenges and cultivate a culture of proactive problem-solving.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing support for their quarterly reviews and annual audit procedures, and ensuring a streamlined and transparent process in financial reporting.
  • Partner with colleagues in the US and EMEA on the migration to our new ERO - Oracle Fusion.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, including 2+ years in a public multi-billion software (preferably SaaS) company and 3+ years in leadership roles. ACA, CPA or equivalent is required
