With a combination of world-class syndicated tools and custom insight solutions, we are the eyes and ears in the markets that matter and the insights behind our clients’ next big idea.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Regional Talent Partner to join our People team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that blends strategic talent acquisition with regional onboarding program leadership in support of early career talent engagement across APAC. Reporting directly to the SVP, People Development, this individual will be responsible for owning and executing the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles based in Malaysia, partnering closely with hiring managers to deliver a seamless and effective hiring experience.

In addition to their local recruitment responsibilities, this individual will own and manage the onboarding experience for all new hires across North and South APAC—designing and delivering consistent, high-quality onboarding programs that support employee success and engagement from day one. This role will also play a key part in supporting early career and new graduate onboarding initiatives in key offices across the region, including Malaysia, China and Japan.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-impact, cross-cultural environment, brings deep regional insight, and is passionate about building strong talent pipelines and delivering exceptional employee experiences.

What You Will Be Doing:

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for the Kuala Lumpur team, from sourcing to offer acceptance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with universities and external partners to strengthen Mintel’s brand in the early talent space.
  • Represent Mintel at career fairs and campus events to attract high-quality candidates and promote employer branding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and deliver a best-in-class recruitment process.

Onboarding Strategy & Execution

  • Partner with the KL HR Manager to develop and implement a tailored onboarding strategy for the Kuala Lumpur office.
  • Take full ownership of the APAC onboarding program, partnering with regional People Operations and global L&D, to ensure consistency, quality, and localization across North and South APAC regions.
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions and collaborate with functional leaders to deliver an engaging and informative new hire experience.
  • Design onboarding metrics and feedback loops to continually improve the program’s impact.

Early Career and Graduate Support

  • Provide onboarding support for China’s early-career talent and new graduate hires — ensuring a structured and supportive experience in a non-traditional graduate hiring market.
  • Collaborate with local and regional People teams to ensure cultural alignment and a smooth transition for new graduates entering the workforce.

Broader Talent Management Contribution

  • Serve as a regional voice in shaping global talent development initiatives that impact the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with People Development leaders to ensure alignment between onboarding and ongoing talent engagement strategies.
  • Support knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement across global onboarding and early-career practices.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, or Talent Development, preferably within a regional or global organization.
  • Strong understanding of APAC talent landscapes, including early talent trends and university relations.
  • Proven track record in owning and evolving onboarding programs across multiple geographies.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and across time zones; highly collaborative and culturally aware.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills; able to represent the People function with credibility and warmth.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Fluent in English; additional APAC language skills are a plus.

What We Offer:

  • A culture that supports true collaboration whilst embracing remote working.
  • Flexible start times and end times.
  • Blended (office/home) approach to work.
  • Approach to personal development where we encourage individuals to grow and share what they’ve learned.
  • Social events, both within the department and across the company.
  • Generous annual leave and wider employee benefits.
  • Additional one day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • Membership in Employee Resource Groups (Mintel Diversity, Mintel Wellness, and Mintel Gives).
  • Giving back is part of our culture with this in mind, Mintel gives employees 2 days' leave per year to join local volunteering activities organized by our Mintel Gives (where applicable).
  • Mental health and wellbeing support via Modern Health App.
  • Beautifully designed offices foster collaboration and fun.

Mintel is an equal opportunity employer that committed to the strength of an inclusive workplace.
