Regional People Manager- UK Lead
As the Head of People, UK at Vimeo, you will play a critical role in shaping a workplace that's not only compliant but vibrant and inclusive. Your responsibilities will involve offering support and guidance to our team, leading and optimizing our local legal and compliance policies, and ensuring that each policy and benefit showcases our dedication to the well-being and professional growth of our team. You will also play a key role in rolling out global People team strategies and initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- HR Policies, Benefits and Compliance:
- Lead compliance with local employment laws and regulations, ensuring that all HR practices are in full compliance.
- Handle employee onboarding including carrying out relevant right to work checks.
- Participate in policy development and revisions.
- Communicate regularly with the global benefits team, ensuring that the benefits offered in the UK are competitive, comprehensive, and in alignment with the company's global benefits strategy
- Employee Relations in your hub:
- Guide and resolve ER issues, ensuring policy compliance
- Maintain ER documentation and collaborate on high-risk cases
- Serve as an ER subject matter expert aligned with our global policies
- Enhancing Employee Experience:
- Develop and execute initiatives aimed at boosting employee satisfaction and engagement, fostering a vibrant company culture.
- Lead Vimeo’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in the UK.
- Work closely with management and teams to address work-life balance, ensuring a healthy and supportive work environment.
- HR Global Processes:
- Support, implement, and optimize global HR processes
- Collaborate with the global HR team for consistent initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend local adjustments in HR processes
- Productivity Enhancement:
- Identify and implement measures to increase productivity across the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and workflows
- Partner with HRBP:
- Cultivate relationships with leaders, sharing feedback with the relevant HRBP
- Provide support for talent development and engagement
- Organizational Capability
- Business partnering with allocated teams to deliver pragmatic support, guidance and coaching to line managers to equip them to manage HR related issues. This could include information on policy, procedures, best practice, employment legislation, remuneration, benefits, and employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievances, sickness management, and performance management.
- Act as a point of contact for all queries and support requests from UK Vimeo team members and be capable of dealing with routine HR matters independently.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 to 7 years of experience in HR roles with an ER focus and strategic people management in the tech industry. Experience working within a global company is desirable.
- Deep understanding of local employment laws and compliance
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven success in managing complex, international HR projects
- CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent experience
- Strategic mindset with a focus on organizational effectiveness
- Proven success in workplace culture management, analysis and development
