Regional Sales Manager

Full Time
Dublin, Ireland

  A bit about the role:

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager based in Dublin to join our Direct (field) Sales team. This role involves leading a team of sales reps (or Brand Ambassadors as we call them) who attend hundreds of events, trade shows and exhibitions throughout the year introducing potential customers to Butternut Box. The role will involve growing your own sales team based out of Dublin, who will cover the entire Republic of, and Northern Ireland region - whilst reporting directly into the Head of Sales based out of London.

You should expect to be target orientated, with a hunger to exceed your weekly, quarterly and annual goals and the desire to grow into a people management position. Your role will require you to lead from the front, selling in the field on a weekly basis whilst your team grows, prior to you creating a structure of trusted supervisors to allow you to step out of the field after 6 months. With that in mind, you should also see yourself as a natural & excellent salesperson, with an eye for identifying other top sellers & how to develop and train them as well. This role will suit you if you're entrepreneurial, ambitious and you love speaking to potential customers.

In your first 6 months at Butternut you will:
  • Learn about Butternut’s story, mission and wider team org structure
  • Form strong relationships and build trust within your existing team of brand ambassadors
  • Embed yourself into the culture of your Brand Ambassador Team, and then start to add to it as well
  • Work with our sales recruiter to hire, onboard and train new brand ambassadors into your team
  • Start making your own personal sales by regularly attending shows alongside your team (note that these can fall on weekends)
  • Learn how we track targets and measure cost per acquisition and start to practice these processes yourself
  • Form cross department relationships within Butternut (e.g. the events team)
  • Spend time in our London office with our other Sales Managers

👋  A bit about you.

  • Experience with face to face, field or direct sales (bonus points if you’ve worked in the dog food industry before!)
  • Ready to take a step into sales leadership
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Confident and ambitious with a ‘let’s get it done’ attitude.
  • Able to commit to weekend event work for at least 6 months (with equivalent days off during the week in return)
  • Experience working in the Irish events / sales market and good understanding of creating compelling pitches for consumers
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills where you feel comfortable talking to all members of the internal business and customers
  • You remain calm under pressure, and are someone the team looks too for advice when times get tough.
  • Huge dog lover of course!
