The segment is a strategic growth area as it is characterized by strong commercial metrics while still being underserved. This role embodies an entrepreneurial spirit characterized by ownership, accountability, a strong commercial sense, dedication to exceeding customer expectations, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment. You are responsible for leading multiple sales teams, setting the strategic direction, and ensuring exceptional results in our quest to become a market leader.Team setup and reporting linesYou will oversee several sales teams of account executives Team-Leads, each responsible for different territories or customer segments. You will report directly to the VP Sales and collaborate closely with our Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align our strategies for maximum impact.Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the team is set up to achieve ambitious targets and to continue to grow the German market at scale
  • Regular alignment with internal stakeholders such as VP marketing VP product and VP Sales to continue to drive significant impact across the market and grow the business
  • Create new growth levers and find new ways to accelerate our business
  • Developing first-line leaders within the team to become future senior leaders within our organization
  • Own and execute the sales strategy (lead generation, pipeline management, lead conversion)
  • Define the plan and strategy for Personio’s growth and test different channels to generate traction 
  • Continue to grow the team and scale by hiring and developing great talent.
  • Align as a business owner frequently with central core functions to constantly optimize efforts across all markets (Product & Engineering, Sales Strategy & Enablement, Marketing, Customer Experience, Talent Acquisition)

What you need to succeed

In this role, you will be a driving force in shaping the future of our company, pushing boundaries, and consistently delivering exceptional results while embodying the entrepreneurial spirit that defines our organization. Your commitment to ownership, accountability, and customer success will be the cornerstone of our continued growth and success.What you need to succeed 

  • You have 10+ years of experience in sales, and/or business development with a strong international background.
  • Leadership: A proven track record of working with and of leading high performing teams, either in significant turnaround or fast scale-up environments, including at least 4 years of experiences leading team leads/managers (2nd line leadership experience)
  • Commercial Acumen: A background in B2B SaaS and prior work experience in a fast-growing technology firm; preferably understanding sales and buying processes in B2B SMB (sub 2000 Employees). A deep understanding of the industry, and market dynamics to make informed decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Data Driven: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and has the habit to build data based hypotheses, make decisions based on data and thoroughly tracks quantitative results.
  • Innovative Thinking: Continuously seek new strategies, technologies, and approaches to improve sales performance and market positioning.
  • Brings a high level of energy, focus and drive to their work. Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. 
  • Constantly challenges him/herself to grow professionally.
  • Has ambition to create the best in class sales function and make a significant impact in the work they do
  • Strong results focus to achieve ambitious growth targets on a consistent basis
  • Previously worked in an international environment while having deep expertise in the German market
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German
