Your mission

Providing deep technical knowledge on satellite communications and layer 2 and 3 networking, the Sales Engineering Manager (all genders) is a key technical asset for Rivada Space Networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and providing technical support to the Sales Team. You will work closely with our Regional Sales, Products & Services, and Sales Operations teams to ensure tasks are delivered in a timely manner with alignment to our company’s objectives. This includes: 

  • Providing in depth technical expertise on satellite communications including link budget analysis 
  • Designing of customer specific carrier Ethernet and IP networks 
  • Achieve a deep understanding of Rivada Space Networks’ products, services and solutions 
  • Providing direct technical support to the Regional Sales Team, advising the best technical solutions to the customer’s needs  
  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor offering guidance and support during the sales process 
  • Collaborating with the Global Sales Engineering and Products & Services teams to provide customer feedback, drive product enhancements, and ensure the alignment of product roadmaps with customer needs.  
  • Acting as a voice of the customer, advocating for their requirements within Rivada Space Networks 
  • Developing and delivering technical product training  
  • Taking a proactive role in developing the technical knowledge of the Regional Sales Engineering and Sales teams 
  • Representing the Sales Engineering team at in-region customer meetings and events 
  • Providing day to day team leadership of the Europe Sales Engineering team insuring that tasks are allocated and completed in a timely manner 
  • Participating and contributing in Global Sales and Sales Engineering team meetings 
  • Other ad-hoc duties or projects as required by VP Sales Engineering and Rivada Space Networks management
This role reports to the Vice President of Sales Engineering.

What you bring on the table

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering/ Computer Science or an IP related field; 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or related roles within the telecommunications or space industry, with a focus on complex B2B solutions 
  • In-depth knowledge of satellite communications systems, Ethernet, MPLS, and IP based networks and services 
  • Familiarity with MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet services will be an asset 
  • IP Networking (Cisco, CompTIA, Juniper)  Certifications will be an asset 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally and meet directly with customers and team members
