Work from home or Office Based in Lutterworth or London 

Contract: 12-month contract (opportunity for extension)  

Dive into the ecommerce world of Wayfair, driving our sales and volume within our Freight Forwarding division, enhancing our Suppliers tailored service for importing ocean containers from the Far East to operations in the UK & Europe.  As a commercially shrewd Sales Manager, you will effectively prospect, qualify and convert new business opportunities aligned with our ambitious growth strategy fully supported by our fast paced and talented team.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Identify and create new business opportunities to grow our UK market presence.
  • Nurture and develop strong business partnerships, through understanding suppliers needs and translating into tailored commercial service proposals.    
  • Effectively negotiate optimal supplier agreements to drive business partnerships with new suppliers aligned to our sales targets and strategy.
  • Regular travel to trade shows and supplier locations; increasing brand awareness and maximizing networking opportunities.

In addition, you will be part of our dynamic and motivated team based across multiple locations in Europe, China and North America.  If you thrive within an agile, technology driven, customer centric business we may be the next adventure you are looking for.

To be considered you will be;

  • Able to demonstrate sustained success within a direct sales position, managing the full sales cycle, preferably within a freight forwarding, logistics, distribution, supply chain business or a similar field.
  • Skilled in converting sales, through the creation and progressive management of sales opportunities.
  • An effective communicator, who can nurture and harness professional partnerships.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to identify, present and negotiate attraction service packages.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and focused to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal), any other European language would be a plus.
  • Comfortable in IT systems and navigation (Google &/ or Microsoft Suite)

In addition, you will

  • Hold a valid driving licence within the UK.
  • Be flexible for regular travel.
